We cordially invite you to join an online workshop on November 13, 2025, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM, hosted in English and led by a respected Canadian coach, facilitator and author Christine Samuel. Experience how the role of listening can create major breakthroughs in fostering trust and collaboration.
With this session we are launching our online webinar series focused on enhancing skills for transversal collaboration.
Collaboration across differences is often challenging. When people hold divergent or even opposing views, it can feel easier to defend our own ground than to risk opening to the other. And yet, it is in these very moments that trust and true partnership are most needed.
With our series of online webinars on the principles of transversal collaboration we strive to strengthen the capacity of representatives of civil society organisations and their networks in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia to engage across boundaries with courage and skill. The first webinar from the cycle will be focused on deep listening.
At its core, the concept of transversal collaboration is more than just strategies or outcomes. It is a relationship, where both sides bring their needs, motivations, and hopes to the table. Before stakeholder mapping, establishing contacts and negotiation, we need the capacity to pause, to hear what lies beneath the words, and to meet each other with openness and respect. Deep listening is the essential first step, creating the conditions for trust, and new possibilities to emerge.
What you will gain at the workshop:
recognize the impact of listening and strengthen the qualities that make others feel heard
deepen your ability to listen on three levels: to yourself, to others, and to the space in between
explore how to uncover a “shared yes” across differences
learn how to sustain deep listening, even when the other person is not listening in return
leave with practical tools and resources for everyday collaboration
You can look forward to a practical approach with small-group exercises, blending insights, and a theoretical framework to strengthen your capacity for deep listening in everyday collaboration.
