Between 2023 and 2025, a total of 16 networks of civil society organizations from the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia participated in the Stronger Roots Program. We now present seven of their inspiring stories as case studies. You will learn how these networks achieved specific results in building or deepening transversal collaboration with diverse stakeholders, as well as what kind of internal development they and their member organizations underwent during the Program.

Did you know, for example, that when collaborating with key stakeholders, you can organize study visits to places that demonstrate good practices in action? Or that it pays off to highlight how a proposed change will have a positive impact on society as a whole, not only on the groups you advocate for? Or that integrating new organizations into a network requires dedicated capacity and maybe mentoring support from more experienced members?
Each case study is complemented by a set of similar recommendations for your activities, as well as quotes from the coordinators and leaders of the respective networks. In addition to capturing specific progress, they primarily map the challenges the networks faced and the paths that led them to success.
