Trade and Development Coherence in Czech Republic
The United Nation's Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) represent ambitious and the most comprehensive endeavour of the international community so far to reduce poverty and enhance equitabl e and sustainable development acr oss the globe. The last Millennium Development Goal calls for a Global Partnership for Development.
As countries, institutions and citizens of the wealthy North, the Czech Republic alsocontributes to achieving the MDGs in developing countries. However, the eighth Goal requires a more difficult obligation to tackle the most adverse conditions and roots of global poverty above all in our own backyard.
