Glopolis is a non-partisan, non-governmental organization which focuses on the analysis of economic globalization, trade, development, agriculture and climate change.
Research trip to Ethiopia
Between August 6 – 31, 2010 Glopolis realized a research trip to Ethiopia. The aim of the research was to establish a network of contacts in this Sub-Saharan country that is now priority for International Development Cooperation (IDC) in the Czech Republic, and to obtain data and background information for two Glopolis papers focused on Czech and European policies coherence with development goals.
Etiopie 2010
The trip included a series of meetings and interviews with Ethiopian officials, local and foreign experts, businessmen, the Representative office of the Czech Republic, the Delegation of the European Commission, and non-governmental and multilateral organizations in Addis Ababa. A field research was also conducted with the help of the People In Need’s Ethiopian mission in SNNPR (Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People’s Region).
