Glopolis is a non-partisan, non-governmental organization which focuses on the analysis of economic globalization, trade, development, agriculture and climate change.

Record from the pre-election debate

Glopolis and FoRS – the Czech Forum for Development Cooperation organized an election debate entitled “Who would the poorest inhabitants of the planet vote for?” held on 5 May 2010 at the Hotel Jalta. 

Participating in the discussion, the main subjects of which can be summarised in three questions – What does development cooperation mean for Czech politicians? Can global trade solve the problem of world hunger? Do we need a new economic system and a new economy? – were Jan Hamáček (Social Democratic Party), Jan Zahradil (Civic Democratic Party), Karel Schwarzenberg (TOP09), Ondřej Liška (Green Party), Viktor Paggio (Public Affairs) and Jana Hybášková (Christian Democrats).
