The publication introduced thematic inputs by different authors from two countries of CEE region on topics such as the concept of development, financial crisis, agricultural development and energy sovereignty. Despite the wide range of topics they all share a common denominator: the concern of the consequences of economic globalization. The different chapters demonstrate the linkages between development, economy, environment and agriculture. The publication introduces some of the processes that have led to the current situation of multiple global challenges: the food crisis, climate change, dependency on fossil fuels, and the economic crisis. It is also a summary of three year analysis of forementioned issues gathered by Glopolis and Védegylet during a joint project.
