The purpose of this paper is to examine the political-economic profile of the Czech Republic and investigate the multifaceted links between her and the poor countries in order to identify policy incoherencies that negatively impact development in the global South. This should then serve as a basis for highlighting the link between development and globalization as well as the need for the awareness thereof on the part of the civil society organizations. By so doing, the paper hopes to establish solid ground for that advocacy and lobby work, which goes beyond the traditional Official Development Assistance discourse..
